eBay Marketplace Research Replaced by Terapeak

On September 15, 2008 eBay Certified Provider Terapeak, specializing in eBay market data and research, will replace the eBay owned Marketplace Research tool.

"We are pleased to join with Terapeak to offer our customers an alternative service for eBay Marketplace Research," said Laura Della Torre, Senior Manager, Seller Platform at eBay. "We have been working with Terapeak as a Certified Provider for several years and believe they are well suited to provide a research product that meets the needs of our customers."

Terapeak has been assisting eBay sellers with researching current inventory profitability, category trends, hot products, eBay Motors Parts & Accessories and international eBay data since 2004.

Fred Speckeen, CEO of Terapeak/AERS, commented on the new partnership, "The transfer of research responsibilities to Terapeak reflects our longstanding business relationship with eBay, and our company's commitment to providing the best market research product possible. Although most eBay sellers know us for our Terapeak product, AERS was the first licensee of eBay data, and also provides e-commerce analytics based on eBay data to the larger Fortune 1000 community. We are proud and excited to be invited to offer Terapeak as an alternative to eBay Marketplace Research."

To assist in making a smooth transition from eBay to Terapeak, Terapeak is offering a special discount to current eBay Marketplace Research subscribers. Sign-up with Terapeak by Oct 15, 2008 and receive 60% off Terapeak's yearly subscription. eBay members can subscribe to Marketplace Research by Terapeak directly from the
eBay site or by visiting Terapeak here.
